Raphael Varane, a defender for Manchester United, is supposedly being targeted by Al-Ittihad, which would indicate that he will rejoin Karim Benzema.
Sports Zone reports that the Saudi Pro League squad has spoken to the player’s entourage over a prospective transfer, which would reunite him with former Real Madrid teammates Karim Benzema and N’Golo Kante in the locker room.
In an effort to persuade their fellow French player to relocate to the Middle East, Kante and Benzema have both interacted with him. Varane, though, is said to have rejected their offer because he wants to stay in Europe for at least one more season.
Along with Argentine defender Lisandro Martinez, Varane continues to play an important role in Erik ten Hag’s defense. Varane even scored the game-winning goal in United’s Premier League debut against Wolves at Old Trafford. He is confident that he can make a substantial contribution to United’s quest for trophies this year and play a significant part in the Champions League, which is unquestionably another reason to reject Saudi Arabia’s interest.
