Al Ittihad line up Mohamed Salah offer and contract similar to Cristiano Ronaldo wages despite Liverpool stance

The Saudis are looking to make another massive move in the transfer window and have their sights set on the Liverpool star.Klopp said last week that the Egypt international is not for sale, but talkSPORT has learned that Al Ittihad is preparing a bid of €100m (£85.9m) plus €50m (£43m).

If the deal goes through, Salah will become the most expensive player ever signed in the Saudi Pro League, surpassing the previous mark set just last month when Neymar signed with Al Hilal for £69 million.

Taking into account all potential earnings, talkSPORT has learned that Salah would make almost the same amount as Al Nassr’s Ronaldo at Al Ittihad.

Although Al Ittihad have scheduled a medical exam in Dubai, this is not yet confirmation that they have been granted a transfer.

Liverpool said they are not open to discussing a potential deal of Salah.

Al Ittihad, though, is banking on the forward’s influence to persuade the Reds to accept their offer.

There will be one more attempt to sign a player before the transfer market closes, but preparations for next season have already begun.

The Saudi Pro champions have threatened to try again next summer if their application is denied.Liverpool may decide that the transfer raid is too late in the day to consider if they lose Salah this late in the window.

Since his 2017 signing, the 31-year-old has been one of, if not the most, crucial members of the club’s roster.

The player’s agent made it known early this summer that his client intended to remain with the club, and the player has responded by scoring 187 goals in 307 games.

His representative, Ramy Abbas, made the following statement on August 7: “If we considered leaving LFC this year, we wouldn’t have renewed the contract last summer. Mohamed has not wavered in his loyalty to LFC.

After signing a new three-year deal in the summer of 2022, Salah became Liverpool’s highest-paid player.

But Al Ittihad hopes to make him one of the highest-paid players in the world, and their offer dwarfs his current salary.

After having his contract with Manchester United torn up at the end of last year, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner signed with Al Nassr.

Salah’s former Liverpool colleagues, Jordan Henderson and Fabinho, have already made the move to the Middle East, where the 38-year-old earns £173 million per year.
