Margot Robbie is currently dominating the fashion scene with her #Barbiecore trend. She has been showcasing a new look lately, opting for loose hair instead of the usual braids and ponytails featured in the early Barbie trailers. This year’s Met Gala saw Robbie sporting a stunning ’90s supermodel blowout created by her go-to hairstylist, Bryce Scarlett.
Scarlett shared that she and Robbie aimed to pay homage to the vintage Chanel gown she wore in 1993 with a modern twist. To achieve the look, Robbie applied Nexxus Unbreakable Care Root Lift Thickening Spray to Scarlett’s roots before using Nexxus Mousse Plus Volumizing Foam on the rest of her hair. After parting her hair to the side, he used the Dyson Airwrap Multi-Styler with the volumizing brush attachment to blow-dry her hair and create a ’90s blowout effect. To add more bounce and volume, he used velcro rollers, ensuring that the hair was rolled away from the face for extra lift.
After allowing her hair to cool down, the stylist took out each roller and used a comb to tease her hair for added volume. Next, he grabbed a boar-bristle flat brush and gently brushed out her hair, while also using the Dyson Airwrap’s smoothing brush attachment to smooth the ends. Finally, to ensure everything stayed in place, he gave her hair a light spray of Nexxus Maxximum Finishing Mist.
