Before they set sail for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, Team USA will play five exhibition games, starting with a showcase contest in Las Vegas against Canada on Wednesday evening.
Team USA started ice cold, missing their first six shots from the field. However, the Golden State Warriors point guard came to the rescue. Stephen Curry got the Americans going after shaking free with a pump fake before knocking down a much-needed jumper from beyond the arc.
After trailing throughout the first half, Team USA flipped a switch in the second half. As Team USA surged to the lead over Canada, Curry showed off his array of different skills. Curry was the only member of Team USA to hit multiple triples, along with racking up three assists and two rebounds in 19 minutes.
Curry finished with 12 points, serving as one of Team USA’s four members to register double-figures. With 13 points off the bench, Anthony Edwards was the only player on Team USA to outscore Curry.
Along with knocking down the long ball, Curry notched a pair of highlights passing the ball. Curry hit Jrue Holiday with a behind-the-back pass before finding LeBron James for a must-see lob dunk.
