While he also opened up on the anguish of losing the thrilling 2022 World Cup final, despite scoring a sensational hat-trick.

Mbappe being able to speak English is nothing new, with the superstar having even spent a week on trial with Chelsea as a ten-year-old.

But following the release of his latest interview, many fans were left transfixed nonetheless.

One wrote on social media: “Kylian Mbappe’s English is impeccable.”

While a second commented: “This is great. Speaks like he stayed in England.”

A third admitted: “That’s shocked me!”

And another added: “He’s brilliant man, deserves it all.”

A further social media user even claimed: “This feels like AI.”

Mbappe had been speaking to CNN‘s Amanda Davies in Sardinia, having just been named the “Best Men’s Player” at the Globe Soccer Awards Europe Edition last month.

During their chat, he said in no uncertain terms: “I want to win the Euros. I have to be honest.

“I won the World Cup. I won the Nations League. That’s the only one that missed me with the national team after I did everything with the national team.

“I really want to win this. My first competition as captain, so it’s really important for me and it’s always important for the country and we want them to be proud of us.

“[It’s] another opportunity to write the history of my country.”

France will open their Euro 2024 campaign against Austria in Dusseldorf next Monday.

The occasion will mark Mbappe and Co’s first tournament match since losing the 2022 World Cup final on penalties to Argentina in Qatar.

Mbappe scored a stunning hat-trick that day, only to still wind up on the losing side.

‘WE WERE HURT’

On how that bitter blow felt, he said: “I think we have to move forward.

“Of course, we were hurt, to see that you’re close to something… Close to the back-to-back. Something amazing. Something historic.

“Everybody loved the game except for us. We didn’t like that, but it’s part of the game.

“Now, when I watch the video of the game, I watch with a smile because it’s part of the history and we know what we have to do if we go again in the final.

“We have to play all the game and no have reaction.”
