Man Utd fans say ‘we’ve got a gem on our hands’ as footage of Leny Yoro against Rangers emerges

The £52million centre-back saw his first action in a 2-0 pre-season victory over Rangers on Saturday.

Leny Yoro’s Manchester United career got off to a solid start

The defender had a great game against Rangers

And one clip in particular has supporters hot under the collar.

United posted a video of Yoro, 18, spraying a pass out to teenage full-back Sam Murray.

Fans raced into the comments to celebrate the signing on X.

One wrote: “That’s a gem manutd has got on their hands.”

Another added: “Its the beginning of something special.”

A third posted: “Leny Yoro is him!!!!”

“The king of long passes,” commented a fourth.

Yoro played for the first half alongside Jonny Evans before Erik ten Hag rang the changes and was happy with his display.

He said: “It was incredible. Good game from the team, I was happy with my performance. I hope we continue like that.

“The team-mates helped me a lot, the staff made me comfortable. On the pitch we are together, so for me it is very good.”

It took Yoro just ten minutes to win over viewers at the weekend.

The defender displayed his speed and strength as he put in a last-ditch tackle to stop Cyriel Dessers from almost certainly giving Rangers the lead.

Red Devils supporters were very impressed as they reacted to the moment on social media.

One posted: “Leny Yoro is a beast! Can’t wait to see him dominate the field.”

United pulled out all the stops to sign the wonderkid from Lille.

The Red Devils beat Real Madrid to the defender’s signature.

Yoro was promised he would be able to continue his development with regular game time at Old Trafford.

United also called on former centre-back Rio Ferdinand to help get the transfer over the line.
