Born in Saint-Maurice , Val-de-Marne , France , Leny Yoro started his football career at UJA Alfortville where he played for a year before moving north with his parents at the age of six . He continued his apprenticeship at Villeneuve-d’Ascq and also played for FC Lavandou Borme before being signed by LOSC Lille , where he signed in 2017 and completed his training.

Yoro signs his first professional contract inJanuary 10, 2022. He played his first professional match inMay 14, 2022, during a Ligue 1 match against OGC Nice . He came on as a substitute in this match won by his team with a score of three goals .This first appearance, at sixteen years, six months and one day , made him the second youngest player in LOSC history to make his professional debut, after Joël Henry but surpassing Eden Hazard in this ranking

The following season , he became a permanent member of the professional squad, receiving the number 15 and training daily with the first team .September 17, 2022, Yoro made his professional debut in a league match against Toulouse FC . Partnering José Fonte in central defence, he played a part in his team’s two-goal victory and became Lille’s youngest player to start since Oumar Dieng in 1989 .

On July 18, 2024, Leny Yoro left his training club LOSC Lille , to join English club Manchester United on a five-year contract and an estimated transfer fee of 62 million euros and bonuses.
