Stars reveal the real Tom Cruise

The cast of “Mission: Impossible ” praised Tom Cruise for his efforts and willingness to take risks to get the most beautiful and valuable footage.

In an interview with E! News , Simon Pegg – the actor who plays agent Benji Dunn in the Mission: Impossible series – said he worked with Tom Cruise since part 3 of the action franchise in 2006. To him, Cruise is a “one-of-a-kind” character.

“Tom directs from top to bottom and inspires those around him. There’s no one like Tom, he’s the last movie star of the old action genre,” Pegg shared.

When he first came to Hollywood and met Cruise, Pegg was impressed by his openness and sincerity. He saw the good side of Cruise, far from what the media said. Pegg recalled: “He made me feel welcome. Tom was easygoing and generous.”

Pegg has been friends with Cruise for more than 17 years. To him, Cruise is an extraordinary man who tries his best for the audience. Pegg admires his friend for always risking his life to get the most beautiful and valuable footage.

Once said to have fallen in love with Cruise during filming, Hayley Atwell (playing Grace) still freely shared about the male lead. She praised Cruise for being professional, bringing a sense of security to her co-star when performing extremely risky scenes.

Meanwhile, Vanessa Kirby was inspired by Cruise’s fierce spirit. She is still scared and haunted by the scene where the actor rides a motorbike and jumps off a cliff. The actress played arms dealer Alanna Mitsopolis in the 7th part of Mission: Impossible.

Pom Klementieff told E! News that the entire cast has a lot of trust in Cruise and director Christopher McQuarrie. The two leaders always set high standards, so the remaining members have to strive to become better, worthy of Cruise’s and McQuarrie’s expectations.

Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One will hit theaters in the US on July 12 after multiple delays. The film’s sequel, Dead Reckoning Part Two , is scheduled to premiere on June 28, 2024.
