Noussair Mazraoui has agreed personal terms with Man United
Manchester United have reportedly reached a verbal agreement with Noussair Mazraoui from Bayern Munich.
That’s according to journalist Santi Aouna who claims that an agreement has been reached between the two parties. However, a move will likely only materialise if a sale for Aaron Wan-Bissaka can be sanctioned.
Fabrizio Romano adds that Mazraoui wants the move but a move has been put on hold for now as talks are currently underway with West Ham over a move for Wan-Bissaka. United’s valuation of the right-back is understood to be in excess of £15million.
Erik ten Hag is keen to bring in two more defenders following the arrival of Leny Yoro from Lille. Should Wan-Bissaka leave, Diogo Dalot will be the only right-back options at United, while Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia are the left-back options.
Elsewhere, Brighton are tipped to make a bid for United-linked defender Ferdi Kadioglu. The 24-year-old has been linked with a move to the Premier League earlier in the window but he made it clear that he wanted to make his decision after the Euro 2024.
Soon after United reportedly set up a meeting with his representatives, however, not much has come out of it. Now Brighton are looking to try their luck by submitting a £25m (€30m) bid for his services, according to TEAMtalk.
United have so far signed Joshua Zirkzee and Yoro from Bologna and Lille respectively but Ten Hag wants his squad as strong as possible. “We already made two very good buys, so when everyone is fit we have a team that can beat everyone,” he recently said.
“But also in squad depth, we have to catch-up. We know that because [when] we had injuries, we are vulnerable, and we have to avoid this. First, by getting less injuries and picking up less injuries. And second, our squad has to be that good in depth. I want the squad as strong as possible.”
