Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho has opened up on how he has found the club’s pre-season tour of the United States.
Jadon Sancho says he is happy to be back on the pitch after returning to the Manchester United first-team squad this summer.
Sancho made his first United appearance in almost a year last month when he started the 2-0 win over Rangers at Murrayfield Stadium.
He spent the second half of last season out on loan at Borussia Dortmund after a fallout with Erik ten Hag. He accused the United manager of lying about his absence from the squad for the 3-1 defeat to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
Ten Hag and Sancho held talks three weeks ago and the latter was included in the 29-man squad that travelled to the United States for the pre-season tour. He was a half-time substitute against Arsenal and started the 3-2 win over Real Betis.
Although it remains to be seen whether the 24-year-old will still be a United player beyond the end of the transfer window, Sancho is happy to be back on the pitch.
Asked if he is glad to be back on the grass, he told MUTV: “Definitely, 100 per cent. 100 per cent, yes.”
When asked how he has found the pre-season tour, he continued: “It’s been nice, enjoying the weather, back with the lads, it’s been good. I love the facilities in America.
“Obviously when I have time off, I usually come to America. This is actually one of the places I do train before pre-season so it’s nice to be back. I wouldn’t say it’s home but yes, it’s a nice facility.”
