As the Olympic Games approach, the NBA star has partnered with Prime, the popular soft drink from the controversial YouTube duo.
Kevin Durant has taken a curious step in his career. With just a few weeks to go before the start of the Olympic Games and in the middle of the National Basketball Association (NBA) off-season, the star of the United States national team decided to partner with Prime, the energy drink brand founded by controversial YouTubers Logan Paul and KSI.
Through his social networks, the 29-year-old influencer confirmed the agreement with KD, with a photo where they can be seen with a bottle of the soft drink, alongside IShowSpeed , another peculiar social media personality who came to rub shoulders with figures such as Cristiano Ronaldo or, recently, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
According to the company’s own statement, “This partnership aligns well with Durant’s ongoing preparations for his Olympic defense, adding an additional layer of excitement for his fans . As he recovers from a calf strain ahead of the Paris Olympics, the collaboration underscores how elite athletes rely on top-tier products like Prime Hydration to maintain peak performance and optimal health.”
” Prime Hydration Drink’s special edition Durant bottle features a navy blue background adorned with a half-blue, half-red logo and gold detailing. Available exclusively in the US for pre-order, this 500ml product has become a must-have for sports enthusiasts and fans alike. For those looking to get their hands on this limited edition, it can be purchased through several platforms including Instacart and HEB,” the important announcement adds.
Prime, a brand that sponsors both athletes and teams.
The renowned brand has more than fifteen sponsored athletes. Among them are names such as Erling Haaland, Alisha Lehmann, Rafael Leao, Patrick Mahomes, Devin Haney, Bud Crawford , Shakur Stevenson, Alex Volkanovski, Israel Adesanya, Dricus Du Plessis, Cody Rhodes and Tyreek Hill.

Prime is also a sponsor of seven major international teams. Who are they? Arsenal, Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich, FC Barcelona, Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Lakers and Toronto Raptors.
And, in order not to forget his origins in social networks, Paul decided to support other content creators. The most emblematic cases are those of Ibai Llanos, Samy Rivera, Mercedes Roa, Fede, Max Park and the aforementioned IShowSpeed.
Durant addressed his torn Achilles tendon
Taking advantage of this business partnership, Durant also participated in Logan Paul’s IMPAULSIVE podcast, where he was able to recall how his tough recovery was: “ It took me 700 days to feel like myself again on the court. It’s like being disconnected (from the Achilles tear). You lose power that you had in the calf. You have to rebuild your muscle, which was atrophied after months of inactivity.”

Regarding his future in the American elite, Durantula confessed: “I don’t know, it’s a good question. Right now I feel good, I’m 35 years old, I’ll be 36 next season. However, it’s a young man’s game.”
