Fiorentina Stands Firm: Rejects Loan Offer for Star Sofyan Amrabat, Dealing Big Blow to Manchester United’s Transfer Plans

Manchester United’s pursuit of Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat has suffered a setback, as reported by renowned journalist Gianluca Di Marzio. Earlier today, David Ornstein confirmed that the Red Devils are actively working on securing a deal for Amrabat. Due to their Financial Fair Play constraints, United is considering a loan move for the player.

Sofyan Amrabat, the Moroccan international, appears open to the idea of a temporary transfer. However, Di Marzio has revealed that Fiorentina is not entertaining any offers of this nature. Fiorentina has rejected all proposals for a loan deal involving the 27-year-old midfielder, including a recent one from Manchester United that was presented in the “last few hours.”

The financial limitations imposed by the Financial Fair Play regulations are currently impeding Manchester United’s ability to make significant expenditures on players, including Amrabat. Any potential acquisition would likely necessitate the departure of another midfielder from the team.

At present, it appears improbable that such a departure will occur. Although there has been interest in Donny van de Beek, United has only received a single loan bid for him. While there have been longstanding links between Scott McTominay and West Ham United, there has been no substantial progress in that direction. Notably, West Ham has recently acquired Edson Alvarez and James Ward-Prowse.
