In the middle of February, Ozimar Queiroz and Lindomar Queiroz, who are tire repair workers, were taken aback when they reached their shop situated on Estrada do Belmont in the North Zone of Porto Velho earlier than usual. The reason for their surprise was a deserted dog on the side of the road. The friendly animal looked skinny, had exposed paws, and couldn’t move around.

After discovering the dog’s unfortunate situation, Ozimar, also known as Galego, decided to take it upon himself to provide care for the animal until a loving family could be found. Despite his efforts, the dog has yet to find a permanent home even after 20 days. According to Galego, the poor canine was left in front of the shop with its two front legs turned back, rendering it unable to walk. Despite the challenges, Galego and his team have been feeding and caring for the dog with compassion and empathy.

The dog, affectionately referred to as Seal due to his position on the tire shop board, remains stationary with both paws open. Throughout the day, the tire mechanics shift his location, but Seal often finds himself dragging through the mud to interact with the sole stray cat in the area. Lindomar Queiroz notes that Seal is a docile pup in dire need of medical attention, which he cannot afford. Despite his appearance, the tire shop staff continue to feed and care for Seal, who was extremely thin upon arrival but has since gained weight. While he may be dirty from rain, the tire shop team remains unfazed. If interested, Seal is up for adoption.

The story of the dog being deserted has caused a stir on social media. Luckily, Foca has found a new loving home with a couple from Porto Velho after being looked after by tire repair workers for almost three weeks. These kind workers provided Foca with food and water during his stay, and they initially gave him his name. However, he now has a new name as Michele has taken him in as her own.

Upon seeing the dog for the first time, his new owner experienced an instant connection and described it as love at first sight. The dog’s vulnerable state deeply moved the owner, who was touched by the animal’s gentle and affectionate nature. The owner’s love for the dog is overwhelming and difficult to express in words, but it is clear that the owner feels a strong maternal bond with their new furry friend.
