Best wishes to Tyrell Malacia on his 24th birthday
Thomas Tuchel pours doubt on Benjamin Pavard leaving Bayern Munich this summer
Manchester United have been linked to a deal for Pavard this transfer window, but the club has been unable to unload Harry Maguire.
United wanted to get rid of the England central defender to make room in their roster, reduce their pay cost, and free up transfer cash, but an agreement to send him to West Ham fell through, and a replacement has not been found.
Pavard, who can play full back or center back, continues to be of interest to them, but according to his manager at Bayern Munich, the player has shown no signs of wishing to leave Bavaria.
Tuchel said at a press conference on Thursday, “Benji hasn’t communicated to me that he really wants to leave.” There has been no offer as of yet.
We fully back him as he is our player. Until that changes, you can count on him for everything. On Friday, when Bayern travel to face Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga, Tuchel is poised to give Harry Kane his first start for the club.
The Harry Kane influence will continue to have an impact, Tuchel argued. You don’t see [his impact] every day, so you don’t realize how many different levels it operates on.
“[He is] important in the locker room and on the field because of his personality, professionalism, and dedication to training,” the coach said after one of his team’s losses.Tuchel elaborated, “He significantly improves our chances of winning tomorrow.
We recognize that not every game will end in a victory, but I am confident that he will improve our players overall. So far, everything I’ve seen points in this direction.
He gives us a lot of leeway and plenty of time to adjust, but I have no doubt he will make an impression tomorrow.
