Kylian Mbappe happily plays football with sick children at charity event in Paris

Kylian Mbappe may be the most in-demand footballer in Europe this summer, but the Monaco teenager still found time in his busy schedule to have a kick-about with those less fortunate than himself.

The 18-year-old attended a sports day organised by charity Premiers de Cordee, who organise events for children currently in hospital and also raise awareness of youth disability.

With the help of Mbappe, the event got a huge media boost with scores of people turning up to watch France’s latest star do what he does best in the local Parisian community.

The striker looked to be having a whale of a time as he taught the children some skills with a football and posed for photographs to make sure they had visual evidence of a day they are unlikely to forget.

Born in the Parisian suburbs, Mbappe and the children played on the kind of community pitch that he would have honed his talents on as a youngster before earning a place in the famed Clairefontaine academy at the age of 13.

It was from there that Monaco scouts noticed his talents and pounced to sign him, a decision that could well earn the club a nine-figure sum if they decide to sell this summer.

Indeed, Real Madrid and Arsenal are understood to have made bids in excess of £100m but both have been rejected as Monaco resolve to keep their greatest asset, who they value at £120m.

But their Ligue 1 rivals Paris Saint-Germain are also intending to make a bid in the coming weeks with Unai Emery publicly declaring their interest earlier this week.

The sight of Mbappe in a PSG shirt will be one that few Monaco fans will be able to bare, especially as he would undoubtedly make a definitive difference in the race for the Ligue 1 title next season.
