Man United star Mason Mount will miss the games against Nottingham Forest and Arsenal due to an ιnjury sustained in training.’
The news that Mason Mount will be sidelined with an ιnjury until next month was a setback to Manchester United.
The summer addition costing £60 million got hurt in Saturday’s 2-0 loss to Tottenham and won’t be back until after the international break.
Mount will also miss England’s European Championship qualifying games against Ukrаine on September 9 and Scotland on September 11.While United’s new striker Rasmus Hojlund is yet to make an appearance owing to a back complaint, the 24-year-old has started both of the club’s Premier League games so far this season.
United, who will face Nottingham Forest at home on Saturday, do not think Mount’s ιnjury is too significant.
Erik ten Hag dealt huge ιnjury blоw with Mason Mount sidelined until mid-September
Mount made his debut with the Red Devils in their first competitive match after signing in July, and he has started both of their opening season games at midfield.
Unfortunately, he will be out until after the international break in September due to an ιnjury he suffered last Saturday against Tottenham Hotspur.Mount will thus be unable to play in this weekend’s home match against Nottingham Forest or next Sunday’s highly anticipated away match against Arsenal at the Emirates. If all goes well with his recuperation, he will play against Brighton and Hove Albion at Old Trafford on September 16.
Christian Eriksen will likely succeed him in that role.
