Former President Donald Trump warned that Vice President Kamala Harris could lead the United States into World War 3.
“Electing her as president would mean risking the lives of millions of people. She would absolutely get us into World War III because she is not qualified to do the job,” former President Donald Trump said at a campaign rally in the battleground state of Pennsylvania on October 26, referring to Vice President Kamala Harris.
Mr. Trump said Ms. Harris was not qualified to deal with foreign leaders.
“Your sons and daughters will end up being drafted into the military to fight a war in a country you have never heard of,” Mr. Trump added.
The Republican presidential candidate pledged to prevent World War III even though the US has “never been closer” to war.
Former President Trump also reiterated his previous statements that conflicts like the Israel-Hamas conflict would not have happened if he had been president.
Earlier, speaking at a campaign rally on October 12 in California, Mr. Trump promised that if elected president in November, he would “act quickly and urgently to save America and save the people of California from the terrible defeat of Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris”.
Mr Trump added that during his time in the White House, he had “kept America safe, there was no war”.
During a debate with Democratic rival Kamala Harris in September, Mr. Trump also warned that if the Democrats won the November election, the United States would face the risk of being dragged into World War III.
He accused the current US administration of “not even trying” to stop the conflict in Ukraine, despite the fact that the crisis is in dire need of resolution.
During a campaign rally in Nevada on September 13, former President Trump expressed concern about a potential nuclear conflict caused by “incompetent people” in Washington.
“You could end up in World War III. You could end up in a nuclear holocaust if we’re not careful. These people don’t know what they’re doing,” he warned voters, vowing to help Americans “keep World War III away.”
The Republican presidential candidate claims that he is the only person capable of preventing a global war.
“I will end the chaos in the Middle East and I will solve the war in Ukraine… I will solve that problem as president-elect,” Trump continued, arguing that “a vote for Kamala Harris is a vote for war with Russia.”
Mr Trump has repeatedly pledged to end the conflict in Ukraine within 24 hours of his election, even before he is sworn in in January 2025, although details of the plan have yet to be revealed.
According to Mr Trump’s “deputy”, Republican vice presidential candidate JD Vance, Mr Trump could start negotiations with Russia, Ukraine and relevant parties in Europe to establish a demilitarized zone along the current front line, with Kiev agreeing not to join NATO.
Vice President Kamala Harris, who has been a vocal supporter of Ukraine, criticized Trump’s approach, saying he would essentially force Kiev to surrender.
