A wildfire that broke out in Los Angeles, California, on January 7 has caused serious damage, killing at least five people and forcing more than 150,000 to evacuate. Five separate fires have broken out in Los Angeles County, all of which are still uncontained, according to state officials, including two major blazes that have put the city in a pincer movement.

To the west, the Palisades Fire burned 15,000 acres and 1,000 structures in the hills between Santa Monica and Malibu, spreading down Topanga Canyon to the natural firebreak of the Pacific Ocean. The disaster became one of the most destructive fires in Los Angeles history.

After watching the news live on television, Paris Hilton posted a message on Instagram, asking people to pray for California and Los Angeles, which were being devastated by the Pacific Palisades fire. The next day, she confirmed via news reports that her family’s Malibu home had been destroyed by the fire.

“Absolutely heartbreaking. Sitting with my family, watching the news and seeing our Malibu home burn down on live TV is something no one should ever have to go through,” Hilton wrote on Instagram. “This home is where we have made so many precious memories. This is where my son Phoenix took his first steps and where we have shared so many memories with our daughter London.”

Despite the loss, Hilton expressed gratitude that her family is safe and offered her condolences to those affected. “My heart aches for the many people who have lost their homes, their belongings, and their beloved pets. My prayers are with everyone who is in danger or grieving.”

Hilton also said her team is working with local organizations to support those affected by the disaster. She expressed gratitude to firefighters and first responders, calling them “true heroes.”

Finally, Hilton urged the community to pull together to get through this: “Stay safe, follow the evacuation orders, and hug your loved ones a little tighter tonight. We will get through this together.”

The Los Angeles wildfires have caused serious damage, forcing thousands of residents to evacuate. Hilton’s emotional sharing has received sympathy from the online community, contributing to raising awareness of the severity of this disaster.

Previously, in August 2024, Paris Hilton had an unfortunate incident when her luxury mobile home caught fire just two days after filming a video for a new music product. All the furniture inside, including exclusive product samples, were burned.

The cause of the fire was reported to be an “electrical fault”. Paris Hilton broke the news to fans by posting photos of the burnt-out interior on Instagram Stories.

Several other celebrities have shared their heartbreaking losses on social media, including Mandy Moore, Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag, James Woods, Diane Warren, Cameron Mathison, Ricki Lake and many more.
