Social media commentators slammed Elon Musk as a hypocrite following claims that the DOGE leader fathered his 13th child with a fourth woman—right-wing influencer Ashley St. Clair, 26.
Although Musk, despite a stream of tweets since, has yet to respond to St. Clair’s claim that she had his baby five months ago, the news has set the billionaire’s X social media platform on fire.
While some MAGA supporters have showered Musk and St. Clair with congratulatory messages, other commentators have pointed out that Musk’s latest wedlock baby seems to contradict the conservative values he has embraced as President Donald Trump’s “First Buddy.”
“Elon Musk, the self-proclaimed savior of civilization, just had a child out of wedlock with Ashley St. Clair,” wrote X influencer Brian Allen. “So much for ‘traditional values’ and setting a good example. But hey, I’m sure the culture warriors will find a way to spin this one.”
Writer Shane Cashman, meanwhile, joked that “Elon Musk has the same family values as Genghis Khan,” the Mongolian emperor who fathered so many children that his DNA is in the genome of 16 million modern men.
In response to positive MAGA reactions to the news, political commentator Barrington Martin remarked that Musk was “exuding behaviors the conservatives on this app would normally scoff at, but they’re sending his baby mama congratulatory tweets.” He added, “Is this real life?”
Karen Piper, who runs another popular X account, alleged that the news proved Musk is a “callous and empty person.”
“I seriously don’t care who sleeps with Elon Musk for babies or money. A lot of women around the world have no other way to survive aside from finding a similar ‘benefactor,’” she wrote.
Another commentator who describes themselves as an independent, tweeted about Musk, “13 kids … 4 mothers … 3 divorces. So much for “family values.”
Another commentator added on X, “Ashley St. Clair having a child with Elon Musk is just another example of how far the Republican Party has moved away from true conservative values. This is not Ronald Reagan’s Republican Party, and it hasn’t been for awhile.
St. Clair is a pro-MAGA writer and social media influencer with more than a million followers on X. She has contributed to the satirical conservative news site The Babylon Bee and has appeared on Fox News.
“Five months ago, I welcomed a new baby into the world. Elon Musk is the father,” she wrote in an X post announcing the news on Friday. “I have not previously disclosed this to protect our child’s privacy and safety, but in recent days it has become clear that tabloid media intends to do so, regardless of the harm it will cause.”
She concluded her statement by asking the media to refrain from “invasive reporting” about her child. The post was captioned “Alea Iacta Est”—Latin for, “The die is cast.”
A representative for Musk did not respond to the Daily Beast’s request for comment on St. Clair’s statement.
