Selena Gomez dressed like a movie star in the French Riviera to make her grand entrance in Cannes, France, ahead of her second-ever Cannes Film Festival.
The actress was photographed wearing a white pointelle peplum minidress by Self-Portrait with black and white sling-back heels as she posed with fans in the French city. She accessorized with Jennifer Meyer earrings, white sunglasses, and an Aspinal of London bag.

The red carpet premiere for Gomez’s upcoming movie Emilia Pérez is tomorrow at the festival. She’ll also attend a photocall for the project, so she’ll have at least two major fashion moments this weekend in France.
When Gomez last attended the Cannes Film Festival in 2019 to promote The Dead Don’t Die, she wore a Louis Vuitton two-piece on the red carpet, which featured a belted skirt with a high leg slit.
During the photocall for The Dead Don’t Die, she wore a navy crop top and slacks by Chanel with Messika jewelry and Tabitha Simmons shoes:
STEPHANE CARDINALE – CORBIS//GETTY IMAGESGomez spoke about her love for France when promoting her song, “Love On,” in March. She had stayed in Paris while filming Emilia Pérez. “I felt like I can be a normal human being there,” she told Rolling Stone, when discussing her time in the city. “I fell in love with everything about it and the life that I lived there for two months.”
She also spoke to the outlet in the same interview about why she is focusing on acting now but not quitting music. “I think it’s natural for people to take breaks, but I think for me, there is a whole other aspect to my life, pride and joy,” Gomez said. “I love film. I love TV. I just feel like I haven’t done a lot of the things that I want to do in that space. It’s not that it’s ‘no, never’ [to music], it’s more that I would like to explore that world a bit more and have the time to actually do that.”
