The ‘Top Gun’ star was spotted giving the 25-year-old singer-songwriter a ride in London
Tom Cruise was spotted giving his new friend Victoria Canal a lift in London — and in true Tom Cruise fashion, the pair rode in style.
On Friday, July 12, the Top Gun actor, 62, and Canal, a 25-year-old singer-songwriter, were spotted traveling together via a helicopter that Cruise was flying.
In photos captured by photographers, Cruise could be seen sitting in the pilot’s seat shortly after landing a helicopter on a London helipad before hopping off and helping Canal off the aircraft.
The actor also helped Canal zip up her fuzzy coat before escorting her off the runway.
Cruise kept his look casual, wearing a dark T-shirt, a black puffy coat and sweatpants, while Canal paired her coat with a dark green sweater and baggy jeans.
This isn’t the first time Cruise gave Canal a lift. On Tuesday, July 9, the pair arrived to the premiere of Twisters via helicopter, and Canal even shared a video of Cruise in the pilot’s seat on her Instagram account.
“Not tom cruise flying me & my brother in a heli to the @twistersmovie premiere !!!!” she wrote in the post’s caption, adding a “lolol.”
In the video, taken by Canal from the backseat of the helicopter, Cruise could be seen wearing a headset and aviator sunglasses as they flew over an empty green field. Canal also shared a selfie of herself sitting in the backseat of the helicopter with her own headset on, along with selfies with Cruise and her brother, Nick Canal, at the Twisters premiere.
After Victoria shared the photos of her helicopter ride with Cruise on Instagram, her comments were filled with questions from fans and fellow musicians about how she had met the star and why he gave her and her brother a ride.
“We met backstage at [Glastonbury Festival] and talked abt the upcoming premiere we were both going to and he said, ‘roll with me!'” she wrote in a reply to one comment. ” ‘I’ll take you guys in the heli!’ lol”

Both the singer and actor attended Coldplay’s 2024 Glastonbury Festival set in the U.K. on Saturday, June 29, and Victoria even made an appearance onstage to sing “Paradise” with the group.
Although she and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin have worked together before (she’s even signed to his Parlophone Records label), the singer-songwriter told BBC Radio 1 after her performance at the festival that the show came together in just a few weeks.
“[Chris Martin] Facetimed me and said, ‘Hey Vic, do you know the song ‘Paradise’ by Coldplay?’ ” she recalled to laughs from the host. “And I was like, ‘Yes, I do know that song.’ ” And he was like, ‘Would you want to sit in at Glastonbury?’ ” And I was like, ‘Sure!’ “

“I had to check with my friend in the morning if it was actually a dream,” Victoria continued, before reflecting on the moment she got on stage.
“I literally blacked out,” she said with a laugh. “I literally cannot tell you what happened. All I remember before getting onstage, I was jumping up and down to all their other songs, and looking around and Paul McCartney was backstage, Tom Cruise is in the balcony, and all these crazy A-listers. … It just felt so fast.”
