A make-up artist’s work is never done.

Tom Cruise has returned to the set of Mena in Atlanta, Georgia with his face freshly battered, just one day after it had ‘healed’.

On Tuesday the 52-year-old actor was spotted filming with a nasty-looking black eye and a missing tooth, only to emerge on Wednesday fresh-faced and with full dental complement.

Looks painful: Tom Cruise returned to work with his face freshly ‘bruised’ on Thursday as he filmed Mena

But on Thursday the actor appeared to have been dragged back to film more post-beating scenes as he once again sported the believable bruise.

Tom was again wearing the simple brown boots, indigo jeans and denim shirt combo.

Meanwhile his thick brown hair and long sideburns are almost Elvis-esque.

Back and forth: The 52-year-old had similar make-up applied on Tuesday, but on Wednesday appeared on the Atlanta set fresh-faced

Happy family: The actor joked around with his 31-year-old co-star Sarah Wright

That was acceptable in the 80s: Tom sported Brown boots, indigo jeans and a light blue denim shirt, which wasn’t immediately very obviously 80s

The King? His thick brown hair and sideburns made him almost look Elvis-esque

He and his ‘family’, including an adorable blonde little boy and his ‘wife’ Lucy – played by Sarah Wright – drove around in a very 80s wood-paneled station wagon.

The TV actress, who had recurring roles in Marry Me, Parks and Rec and 7th Heaven, wore a long blue maxi dress.
